We are the strategic partner of Genie for the sale of work platforms in 18 European countries
We have been involved in rental, sales, and service of work platforms since 1997. Initially as a division of KLC s.r.o., and since 2003 as an independent company under the brand KLC pracovné plošiny s.r.o. As one of the first companies on the Slovak market, we reached out to customers with a wide range of self-propelled and trailer-mounted work platforms. In addition to building a sales network, from the beginning we have devoted ourselves intensively to related services, service, and rental of work platforms. We are currently the official representative of several work platform manufacturers; besides GENIE with its wide range of self-propelled work platforms, we also represent the Italian manufacturer of truck-mounted work platforms, CTE, and since 2013 also the company OMME, which produces special tracked and trailer-mounted work platforms. Since 2012, we have been the contracted representative of TEREX Construction for the sale and service of construction machinery. During our operation, we have managed to gain many customers in the field of sales, rental, and service of work platforms and construction machinery.

In December 2012, we strengthened our position on the Slovak market by merging with the Czech company STATECH s.r.o. This made us part of the Belgian group TVH. TVH is one of the key companies influencing the sale of spare parts for forklifts, and the rental of work platforms and forklifts. Subsequently, in September 2013, we changed our business name to STATECH SLOVAKIA s.r.o. and moved the company’s headquarters to Sliač. In line with the long-term strategy of the entire group to unify the names of all companies under one brand “mateco”, in April 2019 the company’s name was changed to mateco Slovakia s.r.o. As of March 2020, the headquarters relocated to larger premises in Zvolen.

1997
Establishment of KLC s.r.o. The aerial work platform division within KLC s.r.o. was established at the end of 1997. In the beginning, we focused primarily on the sale and servicing of mobile work platforms. In the following year, we began building the first mobile work platform rental service in the Slovak Republic.
2003
Expansion of service offering The dynamic growth of the aerial work platform division led to the establishment of an independent company – KLC pracovné plošiny s.r.o. All business activities related to the sale, rental, and servicing of mobile work platforms were transferred to this new company. The creation of an independent company primarily enabled us to expand the range of services offered by our mobile work platform rental division.
2007
Authorized distributor of the GENIE brand A significant milestone came in 2007, when we became the official distributor of the GENIE brand in Slovakia, marking a new chapter in our supplier partnerships.
2012
Entry of the multinational TVH Group In December 2012, we strengthened our position on the Slovak market by merging with the Czech company STATECH s.r.o. At that time, STATECH was already part of the international TVH Group. TVH is one of the key global players in the sale of spare parts, with a strong influence on the worldwide market.
2013
Change of company name to STATECH SLOVAKIA s.r.o. and relocation of headquarters A natural consequence of the change in ownership structure was the change of the company’s trade name, along with a new company logo. Relocating our headquarters to the “center” of Slovakia allowed us to optimize the logistics of our services for customers.
2019
STATECH = mateco In line with the long-term strategy of unifying all group companies under the single brand “mateco,” the company’s trade name was changed to mateco Slovakia s.r.o. in April 2019. The goal of this rebranding was to strengthen our position in the aerial work platform market under one strong brand across Europe. Our services, team, and legal entity remain unchanged. mateco Slovakia s.r.o. will continue to strengthen its position in the sale, rental, and servicing of mobile work platforms.
